Loss & Grief
I am a trained Bereavement Counsellor. Loss and grief may take many forms and involve a wide range of emotions. I do not believe that time heals, I believe what we do with time heals. This does not mean that our grief diminishes or that we somehow ‘let it go’, rather that life expands around the loss. Wherever you are in your journey, I wish to offer you a warm and accepting place to be exactly where you are.
“Sometimes you have to be apart from people you love, but that doesn’t make you love them any less. Sometimes you love them more.”
We all experience many forms of loss as we go through life. Grieving can be a painful and lonely experience even when those we are close to are experiencing the loss at the same time. The uniqueness of your loss can make it complicated to talk with those who already know you about how this feels or what your story really is. You may be feeling a whole range of emotions from despair to relief. Having a space to share your feelings, your story, and the way it's impacting your life, can be important elements of learning to live alongside your grief. Whether a loved one has died or you are experiencing an ambiguous loss, such as abandonment or estrangement, I can give you space to explore what matters most to you, openly and in confidence.
If you are living with grief and would like to reach out, I’d love to hear from you.
